A quick-reference list of all key terms used in the Zirpa platform.

TermDefinition
AccountThe top-level container for your organisation. An Account holds one or more Brands, along with users and settings. See Brand vs Account Structure.
AgentThe intelligent guide that runs a Journey from start to finish. An Agent presents information, collects responses, and moves the Candidate through each Step. See What is an Agent?.
Agent ChatAn AI-powered chat feature that lets Candidates ask questions during a Journey. Answers are based on Knowledge articles configured by your team. See Agent Chat & Knowledge.
Agent EditorThe main workspace where you build and configure your Agent — including Steps, flow, and logic. See Agent Editor.

TermDefinition
BrandA sub-division within your Account (e.g., a business unit, franchise, or client). Each Brand has its own Agents, Candidates, and workflows. See Brand vs Account Structure.

TermDefinition
CandidateThe person moving through a Journey — this can be an applicant, customer, lead, or any individual going through your process. See Core Concepts.
Compatibility MatchA scoring system that evaluates how well a Candidate fits your defined criteria, based on their responses during the Journey. See Understanding Compatibility Match.
Custom FieldsAdditional data fields collected during a Journey, defined in your Path configuration. They store information specific to your use case.

DashboardA centralised view that provides a quick summary of system activity, Candidate progress, and Agent performance. See Understanding the Dashboard.

TermDefinition
GateThe entry point into a Journey. A Gate receives incoming data (from forms, APIs, or other sources) and places a Candidate onto a Path. See What is a Gate?.

JourneyThe live, real-time execution of a Path for a specific Candidate. Each Candidate has their own Journey that tracks their progress from start to Outcome. See Core Concepts.
Journey TimelineA chronological record of all actions and events during a Candidate's Journey. See Understanding the Journey Timeline.

TermDefinition
KnowledgeStructured articles that the Agent uses to answer Candidate questions via Agent Chat. Knowledge is created at the Brand level and assigned per Agent. See Training the Knowledge Base.

Merge FieldsDynamic placeholders (e.g., {{ firstname }}) that are replaced with real Candidate data when content is displayed or sent. See Using Merge Fields.
MilestoneA marker in the Path that groups Steps into stages. Milestones help track progress at a higher level without requiring Candidate action. See Using Milestone.

TermDefinition
OutcomeThe defined end state of a Journey (e.g., Approved, Declined, Completed, Withdrawn). Every Journey should end with a clear Outcome. See Core Concepts.

TermDefinition
PathThe ordered sequence of Steps that defines the structure of a Journey. The Path is the blueprint — the Journey is the execution. See Core Concepts.
Pause & ReviewA Step type that pauses the Journey until a reviewer manually resumes it. See Pause & Review.

TermDefinition
RunnerThe interface where Candidates experience the Journey. It displays Steps one at a time, collects responses, and shows Agent Chat. Also refers to the background engine that processes each Step.

TermDefinition
StepA single action point in a Journey (e.g., a form, a message, a video, a webhook). Steps are the building blocks of a Path. See Steps Configuration Guide — Overview.

WebhookA Step type that sends Candidate data to an external system in real time via API. See Webhook Step.
